Our First 20 Users: Runner’s Rings Takes Its First Step
After launching Runner’s Rings, I checked Google Analytics and saw 20 users. There's still a long road ahead, but I want to remember these first 20 people as part of the app's own growth rings.
After launching Runner’s Rings, I opened Google Analytics to see how things were going.
Users: 20.
...Twenty.
There's still a long road ahead if I want to reach runners around the world! 😂
It's a small number, but it means something special to me. An idea that once existed only in my head has become an app that real people are discovering and using.
And that's worth remembering.
■ An App That Preserves Your Running Journey
Runner’s Rings is designed to preserve the roads you've run, building a visual record of your efforts like the growth rings of a tree.
Every route becomes part of your story.
And I hope those growth rings will eventually connect runners from all over the world.
That's the idea that keeps this project moving forward.
■ Even an App Has Growth Rings
Running starts with a single kilometer. Then comes another.
Some days feel great. Other days, progress is slow.
Building Runner’s Rings has been much the same.
Chappy, my AI development partner, and I keep coming up with ideas, testing them, making mistakes, fixing things, and trying again.
Little by little, the app has taken shape.
That's why I want this Journal to preserve more than finished features. I want it to capture the journey of building the app itself.
■ To Our First 20 Users
Thank you to everyone who has discovered Runner’s Rings.
If runners from all over the world eventually join us, I know I'll look back at this moment and smile.
"Remember when we had just 20 users?"
Runner’s Rings is about preserving the life you run.
So why not preserve the story of how Runner’s Rings grows, too?
Our very first growth ring starts with 20 people.
