Show Us the Views You Run Through! Discover “Everyone’s Photos” on Runner’s Rings
Runners explore countless places and encounter beautiful scenery along the way: sunrise streets, seasonal flowers, mountain views, and unfamiliar towns. With the new “Everyone’s Photos” feature on Runner’s Rings, runners can share the scenery they discover during their journeys. It's another way to enjoy running beyond pace and distance.
■ Runners see so many different landscapes.
The familiar streets of a regular running route.
A quiet road discovered by taking a small detour.
A new city explored during a morning run while traveling.
Mountains, rivers, and parks that look different with every season.
Running takes us to places where we discover scenery that might otherwise go unnoticed.
A sunrise over an empty street.
Cherry blossoms along a river.
A peaceful park hidden between buildings.
A beautiful view in an unfamiliar town.
Sometimes, those moments become personal treasures.
But what if runners could share them with one another?
That idea inspired the “Everyone’s Photos” feature on Runner’s Rings.
■ Introducing “Everyone’s Photos”
Runner’s Rings is an app designed to preserve the roads you run and visualize your running journey as growth rings.
It helps runners look back on where they have traveled on foot.
Now, “Everyone’s Photos” adds another dimension to that experience.
Not only can we remember where we ran, but we can also discover what those places looked like.
Shared scenery photos appear on the map, allowing other runners to explore the landscapes people have encountered along the way.
■ Different runners, different views
Imagine a runner in Gunma, Japan, sharing a beautiful view of Mount Akagi.
Someone living in Tokyo might discover a new place they want to visit.
Meanwhile, a runner near the ocean might share a sunset along the coast.
For runners living in mountainous areas, that photograph might offer a completely different perspective.
Every runner experiences different landscapes.
That diversity makes sharing scenery exciting.
You do not have to be fast to have a beautiful photograph to share.
Whether you run five kilometers or a full marathon, every journey can lead to a memorable view.
■ How to explore the photos
On the Runner’s Rings homepage, open the “Everyone’s Photos” section.
Photo markers appear on the map.
When several photos are located near each other, they may be grouped together depending on the map's zoom level.
Explore the map and discover scenery shared by other runners.
Photo visibility can also be adjusted when you prefer to focus on your running routes.
The interface may evolve as the app continues to improve.
■ What kind of photos can be shared?
The feature is intended for landscapes discovered while running.
Examples include mountains, rivers, lakes, coastlines, seasonal flowers, parks, trails, and interesting streets.
The scenery should be the main subject.
Photos featuring identifiable people or vehicles are not accepted under the current submission guidelines.
Submitted photos do not appear publicly immediately.
They are reviewed by an administrator before publication.
Please also respect privacy and local photography rules.
■ You do not need to publish your real name
Providing a display name is optional.
If no name is entered, the generic name “Runner” can be used.
The purpose is not to compete for attention, but to share the beauty of places discovered while running.
■ Familiar roads can reveal new scenery
Even when we follow the same route, the landscape keeps changing.
Spring blossoms.
Summer skies.
Autumn colors.
Winter mornings.
Sometimes a familiar street looks completely different at sunrise.
Sometimes a small detour reveals an unexpected view.
Running encourages us to notice those details.
A single photograph can help another runner discover them too.
■ A note from Chappy
“Running is about more than pace and distance.
It's also about exploring new roads, discovering wonderful views, and enjoying the places we visit.
I hope everyone can share some of those moments through Everyone’s Photos!”
■ Preserve the road. Share the view.
Runner’s Rings was created around a simple idea: preserve the life you run.
Your routes become part of your personal map.
Now, the scenery discovered along those routes can become something shared with the running community.
A landscape from Japan.
A beautiful place somewhere else in the world.
A familiar street seen in a new light.
Every photograph has the potential to inspire another runner.
