You can try the map and preferences without signing in. Generation will require your Runner's Rings sign-in. After signing in in the other tab, return to this screen.
1. Choose your start
Tap the map to place a pin and drag to adjust it. The initial view requests location permission and zooms to your location when available; otherwise it shows Japan; pan the map to choose a start anywhere in the world.
Cyan dashed line: outline, not a walkable route. Neon orange: road candidate. Compare the outline with the road result.
Location is requested on initial load and when you press Use my location, with your permission. Your location is not continuously tracked. This settings screen does not save or publish your start or inputs to a server. External map services are used to display the map.
2. Choose your preferences
For your own idea, try a simple silhouette such as a cat face or a bird with open wings. This feature does not reproduce specific licensed characters or determine usage permissions.
No licensed characters are available yet. Materials will be added after their permitted uses are confirmed. Choose default shapes or your own idea for now.
Your direction guides where a route will be searched for. Artwork stays upright with north at the top; direction does not rotate it. If sea, terrain or roads make it unsuitable, the planned generator will explain and suggest alternatives without changing it silently. Candidates use walking-route data, but actual access and safety are not guaranteed.
Maps and generated results cannot guarantee access or safety. Watch for private property, restricted areas, closures and dangerous roads. Follow local signs and traffic rules. Do not cross unsafely or enter dangerous areas.
Generate a candidate route (beta)
An outline is not a running route. Road candidates do not guarantee access or safety. Before running, check actual access and safety, and follow local signs and traffic rules.
Choose a star, heart, circle or triangle, or use Gemini to draw a curved reference and simplify its outer contour for roads. Fine details such as eyes or lettering are not supported. Roads may distort the shape or change the distance. Any direction initially tries north. If no candidate can be made, try another start, direction or distance.
Generate an outline first. If you like it, generate the road candidate. The outline is not a road route. Change your description to make a different outline. Retrieval may take up to 60 seconds.

The faint cartoon is the curved reference; the cyan line is its simplified outer contour. Eyes, wings and other details are not part of the running route.
If this shape looks good, generate the candidate below. Roads may distort it.
The orange solid line is the road-based candidate; the cyan dashed line is the original shape, not a running route. The route start may differ slightly from your pin. Backtracking and repeated roads are possible.

Only when you press Generate, your start, direction, distance, shape, idea and safety acknowledgment are sent to Runner's Rings. For free-text ideas, your description and target distance are sent to Google's Gemini to create a reference. Do not enter personal information. Your start coordinates are not sent to Gemini. Shape waypoints are sent to openrouteservice for routing. This version does not save or publish routes. Service congestion or limits may prevent generation.
